THE PROGRM

Making a Difference to Veterans

Originally designed in 1998 as a research program at the University of British Columbia (UBC), our programs were delivered and refined over the next 15 years. In 2012, the Centre for Group Counselling and Trauma (CGCT), housed at UBC’s Faculty of Education, incorporated the Veterans Transition Network (VTN) as a registered charity to expand the capacity of these programs, making them available to Veterans across Canada.

As a result of the Veterans Transition Program’s success, in 2018, the Centre for Group Counselling and Trauma opened a Clinical Training Centre to train clinicians to deliver these life-changing programs.
